Aug. 20
Misdemeanor charges of battery and harassment against Devin Joshua Ross-Gobrick were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court as the case could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
A felony charge of issuance of check or draft without sufficient money or credit against Lisa M. Bateman was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to the terms of a deferred prosecution agreement and that the defendant has paid restitution in the amount of $452.11.
A misdemeanor charge of battery against John Arthur Ennis was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to the terms of a deferred prosecution agreement.
Jeremy Clayton Cooper pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition he serves two days, with credit for one day time served and the remaining 24 hours converted to 48 hours of house arrest.
The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee with a victim impact panel and DUI school to be completed and a breath interlock device ordered for 12 months.
A second misdemeanor charge of driver’s duty of due care was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.

Jose Manuel Esquivel pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving, amended from an original charge of misdemeanor driving under the influence second offense, fail to obey a traffic control device and fail to maintain lane.
The court ordered a $500 fine + $140 administrative assessment with credit for 12 hours time served.
Ian Matthews Sauers pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense. The court ordered 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition he serves two days, with credit for one day time served.
The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee and ordered the defendant to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school.
A misdemeanor charge of driving on the highway having multiple marked lanes for traffic was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.
Aug. 29
Angelina Nashay Mahmood pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving in excess of posted speed zone, driving when privilege as non-resident is canceled/suspended/revoked and suspended plates. The court ordered credit for time served.
A misdemeanor charge of tampering with a motor vehicle against Daren Chavez Briones was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court.
Kyle Tyler Lee pleaded no contest to misdemeanor resisting a public officer and drawing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner. The court ordered 180 days in the Humboldt County Detention Center with 60 days suspended on the condition the defendant has no like violations of the law for two years with credit for 22 days time served.
Daren Chavez Briones pleaded guilty to misdemeanor resisting a public officer. The court ordered a $1,000 fine + $140 administrative assessment with credit for eight days time served.

Tiffany Jean Booth pleaded guilty to mindriving under the influence first offense.
The court ordered 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition she serves two days with credit for 12 hours time served and the remaining 36 hours converted into 72 hours of community service.
The court ordered a $400 fine + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee. A victim impact panel and DUI school were ordered by the court and a breath interlock device was ordered for 12 months.
Misdemeanor charges of speed in school zone and fail to drive within marked lanes were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.
Jose Cruz Quintana withdrew a no contest plea to misdemeanor charges of unlawful trespass upon land and injury to or destruction of property. The case was dismissed in open court on a motion by the DA’s office.
