Lowry High School’s Angelina Martinez finished 10th at the NIAA 3A State Girls Golf Championships held Monday and Tuesday in Boulder City.
Martinez shot a 93 on Monday at Boulder City Municipal Golf Course and 102 on Tuesday at Boulder Creek Golf Club for a two-day total of 195.
Teammate Bailey Hayes finished 17th after rounds of 107 and 102 for a 209. Kaitlyn Hales tied for 20th with rounds of 107-105-212.
Truckee’s Ryan Flynn ran away with the state individual title with a 1-under 143, including a six-under 66 on the second day of the tournament.
Pahrump Valley’s Breanne Nygaard was second at 154 and Western’s Carolyn Lemon (155) placed third. Elko’s Caresse Basaraba (166) and Boulder City’s Sydney Krumm (180) rounded out the top five.
Elko cruised to the team championship, its first since 2016 with a two-day total of 743. The Indians had rounds of 363 and 380.
Pahrump Valley finished second at 777. Boulder City, who was second after the opening day of play, dropped to third at 789 after shooting a 417 on day two. Truckee (816) and Spring Creek (896) placed fourth and fifth.
