The Lowry High School girls soccer team was back home Tuesday to begin its final three home matches of the season.
The Lady Bucks took on Spring Creek and lost 1-0.
The Spartans scored the lone goal of the match in the ninth minute to remain in fourth place and final playoff spot in the Northern 3A.
Spring Creek had a goal called back in the 18th minute on an offside call and also missed a penalty kick in the 37th minute after Lowry was called for a foul in the 18-yard box.
Lowry’s best scoring chance came in the 49th minute off a free kick by Kenzie Dowd-Smith. However, the shot was saved by the Spring Creek goalie.
With the loss, the Lady Bucks dropped to 0-14-2 in league play with two matches to play.
Lowry hosts Elko on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and ends the regular season on Friday, Nov. 1, at home against North Tahoe at 4 p.m.
South Tahoe leads the Northern 3A “A’ division at 12-0-3, while Truckee (10-2-3) is second.
North Tahoe (7-3-6), Spring Creek (7-5-4) and Elko (6-4-5) round out the top five.
Incline (6-6-3) and North Valleys (5-8-2) are sixth and seventh, respectively.
The top five teams advance to the Northern 3A Regional Championships in Fallon on Nov. 7-9.
