The Lowry High School girls soccer team rounded its road schedule this past weekend with a pair of losses.
Lowry was in Incline on Friday afternoon and lost 2-1. All of the scoring came in the first half. The Lady Bucks' season improvement continued after dropping the first meeting 5-1 in Winnemucca.
Lowry made its way into California on Saturday afternoon and was defeated 8-0 by South Tahoe.
The Vikings scored seven goals in the first half and added a single goal in the second half to earn the win.
South Tahoe leads the Northern 3A 'A' division at 12-0-2. The Vikings are ranked 12th in the state in the MaxPreps rankings and No. 1 in the 3A.
Truckee (10-2-2) is second and North Tahoe (6-3-6) is third. Elko (6-4-5), Spring Creek (6-5-4) Incline (6-6-3) and North Valleys (5-8-2) are battling for the final two playoff spots.
The top five teams advance to the Northern 3A Regional Championships in Fallon on Nov. 7-9.
Lowry hosted Spring Creek on Tuesday and results were not available at press time.
The Lady Bucks are back home on Tuesday, Oct. 29, to play Elko at 4 p.m.
The home and season finale is Friday, Nov. 1, against North Tahoe at 4 p.m.
