The home schedule for the Lowry High School volleyball came to a quick end last weekend, as the Lady Bucks hosted Dayton and South Tahoe in the final home matches of the season.
Lowry hosted its annual pink match on Friday night and suffered a 25-14, 25-22 and 25-8 loss to Dayton. The Lady Bucks led by as many as five points in the second set, before the Dust Devils rallied. Lowry also held an advantage midway through the first set.
The proceeds from the pink night match went to Sherry Burris. The volleyball team sold T-shirts and baked goods as part of the night’s festivities.
The Lady Bucks faced South Tahoe on Saturday afternoon and were defeated in three sets 25-15, 25-14 and 25-17. The Vikings entered the match second in the Northern 3A at 12-1. The Lady Bucks dropped to 3-10 in the Northern 3A with five matches left to play.
Lowry took on league-leading and undefeated Truckee on Friday and results were not available at press time. Lowry will be in Reno on Saturday to face North Valleys at noon.
