Like its soccer counterpart, the Battle Mountain High School volleyball team has been on the road for the past couple of weeks.
The Lady Longhorns finished a four-match road trip this past weekend.
Battle Mountain traveled to Lovelock on Thursday to take on rival Pershing County. The Lady Longhorns looked poised to put a damper on the Mustangs’ homecoming, winning the first set 25-22.
However, Pershing County bounced back to tie the match, winning the second set 25-16.
The Mustangs continued with the momentum and won the final two sets 25-13 and 25-14.
Battle Mountain made its way to Silver Springs on Friday and suffered a 25-12, 26-24 and 25-22 loss to Silver Stage.
Battle Mountain plays its final six Northern 2A matches at home, beginning Friday at 5 p.m. against West Wendover.
The Lady Longhorns are celebrating homecoming this week. White Pine stops in Battle Mountain on Saturday for a noon match.
