Truckee entered the match second in the Northern 3A at 8-1-1 and claimed a 9-1 win over Lowry.
The Wolverines collected goals in the 6th and 7th minutes off of shots by Alondra Villa and Taya Matt. Matt’s goal came off a rebound in the Lowry box.
The Lady Bucks cut the deficit in half in the 14th minute, when Emily Backus hit the top corner of the net that got over the head of the Truckee goalie.
The goal by the sophomore ended a two-match scoreless streak for Lowry.
