The Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team dropped two matches this past weekend on the road. Battle Mountain was in Fernley on Friday and the Vaqueros scored four goals in each half to claim the 8-0 victory.
On Saturday, Yerington netted all four of its goals in the first half en route to a 4-1 victory. Battle Mountain fell to 2-6 in the Northern 3A ‘B’ division.
The Longhorns are off this week and returns to action at home on Friday, Oct. 11, against White Pine at noon. Battle Mountain takes on West Wendover on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m.
