Nov. 6
Felony charges of unlawful use of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance against Ray Allen Wharff were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to plea negotiations.
Nicholaus Alan Hudson was ordered to pay a $55 fine on a misdemeanor basic speed 1-10 charge, amended from an original charge of basic speed 11-20 over limit.
Nov. 7
Evelynn Mae Polston pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.The court ordered 150 days in jail with credit for 51 days time served. The DA’s office will dismiss the defendant’s felony case in district court after sentencing pursuant to plea negotiations.
Shanda Nichole Growcock pleaded no contest to driving under the influence second offense.
The court ordered 60 days jail with 50 days stayed for a period of one year on the condition she serves 10 days with credit for one day time served and the remaining nine days converted to 18 days of house arrest.
The court ordered an $875 fine + $140 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee; a victim impact panel, DUI school and a breath interlock device was ordered for 12 months with 69 days credit for time served on the interlock device. A misdemeanor charge of duty of driver to decrease speed was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea agreements.
Nov. 12
Jace Martin Hinds pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery. The court ordered a $1,000 fine and $140 administrative assessment with credit for five days time served.
Lorna Louise Elms pleaded guilty to misdemeanor violation of a temporary or extended restraining order issued pursuant to the provisions of NRS 33.017 ET. SEQ.
The court ordered a $1,000 fine + $140 administrative assessment with $640 of the fines suspended on the condition the defendant complets drug court.
Brent Stanley Child was ordered to pay a $100 fine and $95 administrative assessment on a misdemeanor failure to yield from a private propety charge.
Nov. 13
Candido Jimenez Villanueva was found guilty of misdemeanor count one: driving under the influence first offense and count two: driving on highway having multiple marked lanes for traffic.
On count one the court ordered 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year, on the condition he serves two days with credit for 12 hours time served and the remaining 36 hours converted to 72 hours of house arrest.
The court ordered a $400 fine, $125 administrative assessment and $60 forensic fee. A victim impact panel and DUI school were ordered and the breath interlock device was ordered for 185 days.
On count two the court ordered a $50 fine + $65 administrative assessment with the fees suspended on the condition the defendant receive no like violations of the law.
Nov. 14
A felony charge of possession of a dangerous weapon second offense against James Randolf Ruiz Jr. was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court.
James Randolf Ruiz Jr. pleaded no contest to misdemeanor disturbing the peace, amended from an original charge of misdemeanor convicted person registration with local law enforcement within 48 hours.
The court ordered 30 days in jail with credit for three days time served, with the remaining 27 days to be served within the next six months at least two days at a time. The court ordered a $205 fine and $105 administrative assessment with the fines and fees suspended on the condition the jail time is completed by the defendant.
Nov. 14
A felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Ronald Jeffrey Vaughan was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office in open court pursuant to plea negotiations.
Ronald Jeffrey Vaughan pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, amended from an original criminal complaint of misdemeanor current registration required. The court ordered 150 days in jail with credit for 21 days.
Stacy Arlene McBride pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, amended from an original charge of misdemeanor domestic battery first offense. The court ordered a $1,000 fine and $140 administrative assessment, with four days credit for time served given. Court-ordered fines and fees were suspended for one year on the condition the defendant has no like violations of the law.
