Lowry High School will be sending three cross country runners to the NIAA 3A State Championships Saturday at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno.
Sophomore Jovi Kuskie finished second in the Northern 3A Regional Championship this past Saturday in Reno with a time of 20 minutes, 15 seconds.
Spring Creek's Kendra Lusk won the race at 19:56.
Junior Adia Bengochea will join Kuskie at the state meet, as she finished 13th in a time of 22:14.
Lowry just missed out qualifying as team, placing fourth with 98 points.
Spring Creek (36) won the team title and Truckee (38) and South Tahoe (93) will be sending full teams to the state championships.
Jeremy Walker finished 10th in the boys race and will represent the boys squad this Saturday in Reno.
Walker stopped the watch at 18:14.
Truckee took home the team title in the boys race withy 46 points, Spring Creek (52) was second and Elko (63) placed third. All three teams will run at the state meet.
Lowry was eighth with 194 points.
