WINNEMUCCA — The Run-A-Mucca Motorcycle and Music Festival 2019 will feature more bands in more genres than ever before—and that’s saying something after 17 straight years of rocking Memorial Weekend.

The 18th annual motorcycle rally is scheduled for Friday, May 24, through Sunday, May 26, and participants can expect everything from a $1,000 Poker Run to death defying special acts, the “Burning Bike” spectacular and live music from seven amazing bands.

Friday, “Arizona Jones” will get things started. The Reno-based band offers so many of the best hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s that it will be hard to know who’s singing louder: the band or the audience. With Kat Wilson on vocals, Lenny Campanaro on drums and vocals, and Mark Cromer on guitar and vocals, “Arizona Jones” will invite the crowd to put on their shoes and dance! Watch for “Arizona Jones” on the Main Stage Outside at the Winners Inn and Casino. Times are 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Sunday.

“Turn the Page, A Tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band” will also kick things off Friday at the Winners Inn & Casino. The Southern California-based band has sold over 750,000 downloads of their Bob Seger tribute CDs and have been featured on CNBC News as well as AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands!”  With over 10 years on the road, lead singer Sam Morrison and “Turn the Page” will take audiences back, because “Rock and Rock Never Forgets!” Catch the band from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday on the Main Stage Outside at the Winners Inn and Casino.

The weekend will also feature “The Johnny Young Band” in the Winners Inn and Casino Cabaret from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday; 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday; and 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Sunday. With music inspired by their NorCal/Mendocino County roots, the JYB is made up of members from Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, and Amy Clawson. Formed in 2015 by guitar-slinger turned frontman Johnny Young, the JYB have been firing things up ever since with their own high-octane blend of country and rock. The band’s first single “We Love Whiskey” (2016) established the band regionally and received enough airplay to lead to the JYB’s rising-star status today.

The Christian motorcycle band, “Korner, ston” will play for Run-A-Mucca crowds at 9:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The group’s fluid sound will start the day right for rockers and rollers and set the stage for more great bands later in the day.

Also Saturday and Sunday, “Dusty Leigh and the Claim Jumpers” will combine a little bit of country and a whole lot of rock and roll. With Dusty Leigh on vocals, Wade Huston on acoustic guitar, Joel Rodely on bass, and Mark Peel on electric guitar, the band provides a wild ride from the classics of Waylon Jennings and George Strait to the unparalleled vocals of Stevie Nicks and Miranda Lambert. Once the music starts, it will only be a matter of minutes before the band has the audience on its feet, singing along. “Dusty Leigh and the Claim Jumpers” will play on the East Lot of the Winners Inn and Casino. Show times are 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday, Run-A-Mucca crowds are in for a treat as “Led-Zepplica, The Led Zeppelin Tribute Experience” takes the Main Stage Outside at the Winners Inn and Casino from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Audiences will feel like they’ve been transported back 30 years to experience a live concert with Led Zeppelin. “Led-Zepplica” will provide all the chemistry, magic and legendary performance associated with the real band—all at a local venue. “Led-Zepplica” has been performing since 1989 nationally and internally making it the number one requested Led Zeppelin tribute band in the world.

But the big news this year is “Damage Inc, Southern California’s Tribute to Metallica,” who will play for crowds Saturday night from 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. during the Burning Bike spectacular. The band was named the foremost Metallica band in the United States by AXS TV’s “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.” Not only has the Orange County foursome been playing to sold-out venues for more than a decade, but they also donate their time to several benefit concerts. As Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Authority Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Darrel Field said, “It’s time for fans to fasten their seatbelts, ease the seat back, and let the music do its work; people are going to love these bands.”

Field added, “We want everyone to come out and enjoy themselves during these concerts.”
