The Lowry High School swim team went to the NIAA 3A State Championships at Carson City last weekend to compete against the best of the best in the state of Nevada.
The Buckaroo boys finished in a tie for 10th place with North Tahoe High School with 14 points.
Truckee (135) won the state title, while Boulder City (127) claimed the runner-up spot.
Sage Ridge finished third with 53 points and Virgin Valley (48), Adelson (31) rounded out the top five.
South Tahoe (25), Fernley (22), Western (17) and Valley (16) completed the top nine.
Lowry took sixth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with Matthew Lizanetz, Ashton Kalkoske, Tristan Miller, and Aidan Maher in a time of 3 minutes, 58.1 seconds.
Hunter Lewis teamed up with Charles Gonin, Evan Jeppsen, and Miller in the 200-yard medley relay (1:59.03) for a seventh place finish.
Gonin (5:48.45) finished seventh in the 500 yard freestyle, and Lewis (1:02.06) did the same in the 100-yard backstroke.
