Obituary: Judy H. Swartz

Judy H. Swartz died peacefully on April 20th, 2019.  Judy was born to Robert Shelton Hill and Velma Viola Hill on July 18th, 1940, in Oakland California.  

Judy was proceeded in death by her older brother Shelton and her parents, Robert S. Hill on December 12, 1983, and Velma V. Hill on June 5th, 1988.

Judy was married to Robert A. Swartz on April 29th, 1963, then subsequently divorced on September 27th, 1982.  

Judy is survived by four children, Wendy Naveran (Edward) Bert Swartz (Suzy), Robin Ellis (Matt), Kathleen Ancho (Thomas). Grandchildren, Robert Brooks, Amanda Stevenson, Hunter Naveran, Gabe Naveran, Tyler Swartz, Kyle Swartz, Tiffany Bullock, Ashley Whitley, Maria Ancho, and great grandchildren.

Judy was raised in and around Pasco Robles, California.  In 1972, she and Robert moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada.  Judy returned to California in 1982, where she remained until mid-80s.  In the later-80s she moved to Newnan, Georgia where she remained for several years.  In the early-2000 she returned to Battle Mountain, Nevada.  

Judy was an exceptional photographer and artist.  It brought her great pleasure to travel to the ocean and photograph sea life. She loved going on whale watching expeditions. She lectured about these experiences during the years she lived in Newnan, GA. She loved all animals great and small. Her photography and art reflected the clarity for her affection.  

Services for Judy were held on April 25, at Battle Mountain longt-term care.
