March 12

Taylor Jo Morrison pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery. The court ordered a $200 fine + $105 administrative assessment + $35 special assessment fee and 30 days jail with 30 days stayed for a period of one year. 

The defendant was ordered to 48 hours of community service and 26 sessions of batterers intervention counseling, with monthly reports to the court. 

The defendant was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations and the defendant signed an order to surrender firearms and was admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337, possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of a firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony. 

A second charge of misdemeanor battery was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 



March 20

Heidi Badger was found guilty of misdemeanor fail to obey a traffic control device. The court ordered a $5 fine + $50 administrative assessment. 





Zachariah Raymond Kovall pleaded guilty to count one: misdemeanor driving with license suspended and was found guilty of count two: fail to obey a traffic control device. The court ordered a $250 fine + $105 administrative assessment on count one and a $50 fine + $65 administrative assessment on count two, with $115 of the fines and fees suspended. A charge of proof of insurance required was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 

March 21

Marcel Maddox-Bey was found guilty of count one: misdemeanor speed 31-40 miles per hour over posted limit, count two: driving without a valid license and count three: unregistered vehicle. The court ordered a fine of $100 + $95 administrative assessment on count two, a fine of $100 + $95 administrative assessment on count three. 

Marcel Maddox-Bey was found guilty of count one: misdemeanor obedience to a police officer, count three operating an unregistered vehicle and count four: operating a vehicle with cancelled/suspended/revoked license. Count two: operating a motor vehicle without having current proof of insurance located therein was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. The court ordered a $200 fine + $105 administrative assessment on count one. On count three the court ordered a $100 fine + $95 administrative assessment and $250 fine + $105 administrative assessment on count four. 

A felony charge of battery by prisoner against Milo Casper Derijk was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. 

The following charges against Dennis Henry Hegge were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office after the court was notified that the defendant was deceased: a misdemeanor charge of duty upon damaging unattended vehicle or other property, a felony charge of stop required upon signal of a police officer, misdemeanor of ex-felon fail to change address, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
