RENO — The University of Nevada men’s basketball team was well represented on the 2019 Mountain West coaches teams.

Jordan Caroline, Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Jazz Johnson earned honors on Monday from the MW media and the same four have garnered recognition from the conference coaches today.

The four were key to the Wolf Pack winning a third consecutive MW regular season title posting a 15-3 conference record for the second year in a row.

Caroline and Caleb Martin were selected to the first team for the second consecutive season, Cody Martin was named to the third team.

Johnson was chosen as the Sixth Man of the Year. Caroline and both Martins were selected to the defensive team. Prior to the season the Martin twins and Caroline were named to the 2018-19 MW media preseason team.

Caroline and Caleb Martin were also named to the United States Basketball Writers Association District VIII team for the second year in a row. Caleb Martin was named the District VIII Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Caleb Martin, a repeat first-team MW coaches selection, was the 2018 MW coaches Player of the Year and 2018 Newcomer of the Year last season after helping the Pack to a second consecutive conference title.

It is his first selection to the MW defensive team. He tops the Pack scoring 19.6 points per game and has netted 1,288 points at Nevada which is 17th on the career list. In his college career he has scored 1,839 points.

He leads the MW averaging 5.1 assists per game and is third on the team scoring 11.6 points per game. In 18 games he has scored in double figures including a season-high current four-game streak. His three double figure assist games are the most in the MW this season with 11 vs. BYU, 10 vs. Pacific and 10 vs. Little Rock.
