The Winnemucca Event Center held the 18th Annual Summer Cutting on July 12-14 with hundreds of cowhands competing to win thousands of dollars in prizes and/or tack.
The three-day event was attended by Charlotte Lloyd from Winters, Calif.
“I have been doing rodeo for 35 or 40 years," Lloyd said. "The people are the best thing about rodeo; we are all in the same soup together and everybody supports everyone else, like a family. I have been to Winnemucca quite a few times and I thank them for having the show here. We really appreciate it and the facility is so much nicer than it used to be.”
Upcoming rodeo events at the Winnemucca Events Complex will be the Cow Country Classic on July 19-21, and the 777 Barrel Race Clinic is July 26-28.
