The Winnemucca Regional Raceway (WRR) hosted Hobby Stock, Mini Mod, Dwarf, Pure Stock and IMCA competition again last Friday with a good crowd in attendance to watch the action.
Kelly Scott drove the number 25 Hobby Stock car to a third place finish in her initial try on the track.
“That was our first race ever and Wendy (Chavez) was a great co-pilot," Scott said.
Chavez commented, “I held onto my seat belt a little bit, but not as much as I thought that I would.”
The track will run on three more Fridays this season with racing at 7 p.m. on July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 13.
