After a week of competition between 500 cowboys and cowgirls from the Western United States, Canada and Australia competing for upwards of $90,000 in prizes and scholarships, the 34th Annual Silver State International Rodeo (SSIR) came to a close last Saturday at the Winnemucca Events Complex.
Humboldt County’s Emma Garijo and Billy DeLong teamed up for the win in the Junior High team roping.

Winnemucca Summer Cutting will be held at the Events Complex on July 12-14, followed by the Cow Country Classic on July 19-21, and the 777 Barrel Race Clinic on July 26-28.
