The Battle Mountain High School boys JV basketball team split its last four games.
The Longhorns picked up two wins this past weekend on the road, beating Silver Stage 61-45 and Yerington 52-45.
In the win over Silver Stage, Terrance Fetterly led Battle Mountain with 16 points and three rebounds. Santos Farias added 14 points and five rebounds and Kobe Lake posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
In the win over Yerington, Alan Martinez finished with 16 points and six rebounds and Fetterly had 14 points and seven rebounds. Lake contributed seven points and 14 rebounds and Brock Bullock had six points and 13 rebounds.
On Friday, Jan. 18, Battle Mountain hosted West Wendover and lost 65-56.
Nolan Chopped led the Longhorns with 13 points, while Martinez added 10 points and two rebounds. Kale added nine points and 11 rebounds and Fetterly ended with eight points and two rebounds.
On Friday, Jan. 19, Battle Mountain suffered a 46-39 loss to White Pine. Bullock paced Battle Mountain with 10 points and Lake added five points and seven rebounds.
Battle Mountain makes its final regular season road trip of the year this week, starting Thursday in Incline at 4:30 p.m. The Longhorns travel to North Tahoe on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. tip.
Battle Mountain is back home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, to play Pershing County at 4:30 p.m.
