Aurora Elisaida Saragoza passed away January 19, 2019. She passed away at home, her last request was to come home.
She was born in Pilar, New Mexico, January 29, 1928.
She arrived in Battle Mountain at 18 years old to visit an uncle and aunt for the summer and work.
Battle Mountain continued to be her home for 73 years. She married Chio Saragoza on November 30, 1946, he died March 4, 2013.
She was well known and highly regarded in Battle Mountain, she had many many friends.
She is survived by her daughters and families, Becky Murphy, Brian Murphy, grandsons Patrick and Matthew Murphy; Consuelo Saragoza, Suzanne Washington and granddaughter Antonia Saragoza Washington and son Rick Saragoza. Her sisters Oclides Sink and Fedelina Vigil and many nieces and nephews from Battle Mountain and out of state.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26th at 10 am at the St. John Bosco Church. The Rosary time and date will be posted on the Battle Mountain marquee.
