Chris Casalez was born on July 25, 1928 in Battle Mountain, Nevada to Inocencio Casalez and Leonora Silva Casalez.
He passed away after a short illness on January 11, 2019 in Winnemucca, Nevada at the age of 90.
Chris lived in Winnemucca his entire life, he graduated from the high school in Winnemucca and worked as a mechanic at the McBride Shell before buying his own station.
He was the proud owner of Chris’ Service for about 20 years. Chris served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was married to his first wife, Gloria, until she passed in 1982. They were married for more than 25 years. He then married Marie Casalez in 1989. And they have been married for 30 years.
Chris enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee and eating lunch with his family and friends at the laundromat. He also enjoyed gardening in his yard.
Chris is survived by his wife, Marie Casalez. His children; Lee Ann (Peter) Quam, Christine (Gary) Ellifritz, Mike (Sue) Casalez, Johnnie (Heather) Davis and Leslie (Donny) Stockfish. His grandchildren; Rikki (Roy) Lorton, Christopher Casalez, Sarah (Sara) Morris-Hiatt, Penny (Mike) Raffath, Darrell (Tracy) Cramer, Kylee and Dee Stockfish, Ty Lorton, Tara Tintinger, Daniel Quam, Rebekah Stypa, Kevin Quam; Great-grandchildren, Michael, Victor, Ennali, and Emma Lorton, Ivy, James, Brodie, and Lily Hiatt, Micheala Christiansen, and Crystal and Derek Raffath, Hailey and Caleb Hinkle and Shaun Cramer; his great-great granddaughters, Lexi Stocking and Jayme Stocking; and his two brothers, Raul Casalez and Fem Casalez.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Casalez, his brothers, David Casalez and Anselmo Casalez and both of his parents.

Services for Chris Casalez will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 am. The service will be at the Christlife Family Ministries located at 38 W. Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca,, Nv.
