Obituary: Steven Wayne Sevy

Steven Wayne Sevy passed away of natural causes due to diabetes at the age of 57 at Humboldt General Hospital on December 29, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1961 in Kellogg, Idaho to Kennith D. Sevy and Jackie Sevy.

Steven lived in Kellogg for some time before he decided to make the move to West Virginia and then 28 years after he made the move from West Virginia to the small town of Winnemucca. I

n between the time when he moved from West Virginia to Winnemucca, Steven got married to Linda Sevy.

Steven had worked for a couple of places such as, Goldfields Exploration, Desert Disposal, Getchell Gold, and Connors Drilling. He was also a member of the LDS church.

Steven enjoyed doing lots of things, things like: woodworking and spending time with his granddaughter Bailey and his children, Andrew and Mikayla. He loved spending time with his wife Linda, he also enjoyed his trips home to Northern Idaho to see his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sevy; his children, Andrew Sevy, Mikayla Sevy and Stephanie Sevy; his grandchildren, Bailey Sevy and Camden Sorensen; his mother Jackie Sevy; his brothers, Pat Sevy, Danny (Crystal) Sevy, Robert (Kellie) Sevy, along with numerous nieces and nephews, numerous aunts & uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father Kennith Dewey Sevy.

The family would like to thank the staff in the ER the morning of December 29 for doing all they could to help Steve. Special thanks to Alex Nuerta, Anthony Nuerta, Kayhlin and Adam Sorensen for being there with us.
