BMHS JV boys win one at home

The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity boys basketball team was back on its home floor this past weekend and came away with a win and loss.

Battle Mountain faced Silver Stage on Friday afternoon and posted a 59-51 win. Santos Farias led the way with 18 points and six rebounds. 

Terrence Fetterly joined him in double figures 14 points eight rebounds. 

Riley Buller added 11 points 1and one rebound and Kobe Lake had points and two rebounds.

Lions knock off Longhorns

Battle Mountain suffered a 54-36 loss to Yerington on Saturday afternoon, with Lake scoring a team-high 15 points. Buller added 13 points and Nolan Chopp had 10 points.

Battle Mountain traveled to Lovelock on Tuesday to play Pershing County and results were not available at press time.

The Longhorns return home Friday to play Excel Christian and are back on the road Saturday to face Coral Academy.
