The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity boys basketball team finishes its season with three wins at home last week.
The Longhorns took on Pershing County on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and easily took down the Mustangs 53-13. Evan Gonzalez equaled the Pershing County total with 13 points to go with one rebound. Santos Farias had 12 points and two rebounds and Riley Buller finished with six points and one rebound
Battle Mountain stepped out of league play on Friday and beat Mineral County 57-49. Nolan Chopp was one of three Longhorn players in double figures, scoring 17 points to go with three rebounds.
Kobe Lake posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Brock Bullock had 11 points and four rebounds,
Battle Mountain closed out the season with a 61-27 win over Coral Academy on Saturday afternoon. Lake and Terrence Fetterly each had 14 points. Lake added seven rebounds and Fetterly grabbed five boards.
Chopp was also in double figures with 10 points and one rebound and Jay Narramore had eight points and two rebounds.
