The Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) is an international organization with 1200 chapters in the United States that was founded in 1975 dedicated to reaching cyclists with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Nevada State Rally has been held in Winnemucca at the Events Complex for the past five years, and Ronna Hubbard has been the organizer of the event here since its origin.

“All seven chapters from Nevada are represented here, and we also have visitors from Idaho, California, Utah, and Washington; around 65 total,” Hubbard said. “Every state has their own rally, and all of the members and any guests that want to come can participate in the bike games, meals and/or services that we hold. We raise money for missions, and this helps pay for when we go to minister in Sturgis, Laughlin, River Run, Daytona Beach; all of the big motorcycle rallies. We also collect for the Winnemucca Domestic Violence Services to try and give back to the community as much as we can.”

The weekend started with a night worship at Vesco Park from 6-9 p.m. with lots of rain, wind, music and fellowship.

"The worship team from Grass Valley Baptist Church came and played, and our worship team played as well," Hubbard said. "One of our members is a recording artist named “His Nation”. He is a rapper for Christ.”

Mary and Dan Wootton from Round Mountain  have been to all five of the rallies in Winnemucca.

“The games are always fun, but the people are the best," said Mary Wootton. "We only meet once a year with them, but the fellowship of getting together with like-minded people with the same mission and goals to share experiences is why we keep coming back.”
