Amy Contreras, 27, passed away on April 6, 2019 in El Paso, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1991 to Maria Gutierrez and Antonio Contreras Sr.
Amy was a resident of Winnemucca, NV and she was a member of Saint Paul’s Catholic Church. She graduated from Albert M. Lowry High school in 2010 and after a year out of school, she joined the United Stated Army to serve her country until her death. She was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.
Amy is survived by her two daughters, Araceli Contreras and Leia Contreras as well as her parents: Maria Gutierrez and Antonio Contreras Sr., and her brothers: Antonio Contreras Jr. and Alex Contreras.
Funeral services for Amy will be held on Monday April 15, 2019 with mass at 11:00 am at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Winnemucca. There will be a viewing on Sunday April 14, 2019 in the afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Sonoma Funeral Home Chapel, 47 West First Street in Winnemucca. Burial will take place at the Winnemucca Cemetery following the service with Full Military Honors.
