The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team hit the road this past weekend and came back with a mixed bag of results.
The Lady Longhorns were in Whittell on Friday afternoon and lost 8-0. The Warriors scored seven of the eight goals in the first half.
Battle Mountain bounced back on Saturday and closed out the road trip with a 1-1 tie at Dayton. The Lady Longhorns took a 1-0 lead in the first half off a goal by Sruti Bhakta. Alexis Andrade assisted on the play.
Dayton kept Battle Mountain from claiming the important three points by scoring the equalizing goal in the second half.
Battle Mountain is now 1-3-2 in the Northern 3A ‘B’ Division.
Battle Mountain travels to Ely on Friday to take on White Pine at 3 p.m. The road trip moves to West Wendover on Saturday.
The Lady Longhorns are back on the road on Saturday, Oct. 6, in Lovelock to play Pershing County at 10 a.m.
