After finishing second in Spring Creek in their season opener and then winning in Elko the next day, the Lowry High School girls golf team was off to a good start this fall.

On Monday in South Tahoe and Tuesday in Truckee the Lady Bucks took it to the next level.

Tatyana Carlson (83) placed second in South Tahoe and Hannah Havens (91) nabbed a third-place finish to lead the Lady Bucks to a team victory.

Lowry  combined for a 381 to win comfortably over second place Spring Creek (415). Truckee (426), Fernley (442), and Elko (449) rounded out the top five.

The Truckee tournament saw Carlson shoot an even-par 72 to place first in the individual race and help carry the team to another win.

The low medalist from the South Tahoe’s tournament, Ryan Flynn, from Truckee added 10 strokes to her score from the day before and notched a 91 for second place.

Carlson has been the individual champion in three of the four tournaments.

Lowry’s team score of 384 once again easily outpaced their nearest competitor Spring Creek (405) with Truckee (409) finishing third on their home course.

Elko (425) finished fourth and South Tahoe (436) cracked into the top five.

Lowry takes a two-week break before resuming their season on Monday, Oct. 1 in Dayton and Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Fallon.
