Buckaroo boys beat Greenwave

After losing their last four games on the road, the Lowry High School boys soccer team ended up their travels with a 6-2 win over Churchill County on Tuesday in Fallon.

The win moved the Buckaroos to 2-4 in league play and 2-6 overall on the year. 

Giovanni Sapien and Anthony Cuevas both scored two goals in the contest, while Alejandro Martinez had a goal and three assists

Lowry knocked off by North Tahoe

Lowry traveled to Tahoe City, Calif., last Friday to take on North Tahoe.

The Lakers led the match 3-2 at halftime but pulled away in the final 40 minutes to beat the Buckaroos 6-2.  

Lowry scored the first goal of the match but could not keep the momentum going.

Bucks drop match 

to Wolverines

Lowry finished the Lake Tahoe trip on Saturday with a 4-2 loss to the Wolverines.

Truckee led 2-1 at halftime and added two more goals in the second half for the victory.

Lowry returned home to take on Incline  on Friday and results were not available at press time. 

On Saturday (today), the Buckaroos play South Tahoe at the Lowry High School soccer field at 2 p.m. 

The Buckaroos go back on the road Sept. 25 to challenge Spring Cree at 5 p.m.

After taking a week off, Lowry will continue the season on Oct. 5 in Sparks and Oct. 6 at North Valleys
