The Battle Mountain High School girls golf team had just three girls play last week in West Wendover, as one girl didn’t make the trip due to an illness.
Adriana Robles paced the Lady Longhorns with a 120 to place fourth overall. Teammate Destiny Villanueva was sixth overall with a round of 122. Adriene Burkhart rounded out the scores with a 130.
“We had sick girls this week so we only took three players,” said BMHS head coach Roger Wallock. “All three played very well for the difficult Wendover course with fast greens. Adriana medaled for the third week in a row and Destiny continues to improve as a first-year player. Adriene shot her best score on this course in her four years of high school golf.”
Battle Mountain returns to action on Thursday at Elko’s Ruby Mountain Golf Course. The Lady Longhorns will be at home on Thursday, Sept. 27.
