The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team closed out a four-match homestand with a split this past weekend.
Battle Mountain took on White Pine on Friday at Tim Knight Field and suffered a 6-0 loss. The Lady Cats scored three goals in each half on their way to the victory.

West Wendover
Battle Mountain was back on the field Saturday morning and bounced back with a 4-0 win over West Wendover. Sruti Bhakta turned in a hat trick with three goals on the day.
Ceja Zerina also had a goal for the Lady Longhorns.
Battle Mountain turned in a strong defensive performance, allowing West Wendover to take just one shot on goal.
Midfielder Addie Ortiz had five steals and Midfield Defender La Riva had 21 pass interceptions.
Battle Mountain begins a five-match road trip this weekend, starting in Whittell on Friday at 3 p.m. Battle Mountain makes its way to Dayton on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The road trip continues on Friday, Sept. 28, in White Pine and West Wendover on Saturday, Sept. 29. The trip concludes on Saturday, Oct. 6, in Lovelock at 10 a.m.
