Jeramiah Jon Turner was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges of breach of peace. He was ordered to follow up with the rural health clinic and follow any recommendations of the counselor. 



Aug. 30

Paul Anthony Lasalle was found guilty of misdemeanor charges of resisting a public officer and pedestrian on roadway. The defendant was ordered to 20 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for time served for resisting an officer and 5 days in jail for pedestrian on roadway with credit for time served. 



Manuel Rojas-Carbajal pleaded guilty to amended misdemeanor charges of drugs which may not be introduced to interstate commerce and driving while license is suspended, cancelled or revoked. 

He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for four days time served for the charge of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce. For driving while license is suspended, revoked or cancelled he was sentenced to 30 days in jail to run consecutive to the first charge.



In a separate case, Rojas-Carbajal pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1000 + $140 + $200 late fee/warrant fee.

 He was given credit for 13 days time served. A separate felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Rojas-Carbajal was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 

August 30

Antonio Ramon Padilla pleaded guilty to amended misdemeanor charges of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 60 days in the Humboldt County Jail for the charge of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, with credit for 21 days time served. For possession of drug paraphernalia he was also sentenced to 60 days in jail, to run consecutive with count 1, totaling 120 days. Pursuant to plea negotiations, a felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Padilla was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. 



Breydon Cash Sherman pleaded no contest to amended misdemeanor charges of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 For the first count of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, he was sentenced to 120 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for 6 days time served. On the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, he was given 5 days in jail to run concurrent with the first sentence. Pursuant to plea negotiations, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Sherman were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. 

August 31

Seth Adam Scott pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of hit and run to an unattended motor vehicle. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA. The court suspended $500 on the condition that he have no like violations.

The defendant requested to make payments and have the option to do community service. The defendant was given the option to pay $100 per month and/or complete 10 hours of community service. A separate charge of failure to immediately report an accident was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office, pursuant to plea negotiations. 



Maria Andrade pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failure to yield to traffic. She was ordered to pay a fine of $5 + $55 administrative assessment. 



Sept. 4

Dalton James Irons pleaded guilty to hit and run unattended motor vehicle. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA, with $500 suspended on the condition that the defendant have no like violations. A charge of failure to immediately report a traffic accident was dismissed pursuant to plea negotiations. 



Sept. 5

Robert Jacob Tueller was found not guilty to the charge of driving under the influence. He was found guilty of rural speed for which he was fined $20 + $50 AA, with the fines and fees suspended on the condition that the defendant have no like violations. 



Sept. 6

A misdemeanor charge of domestic battery with one prior conviction in the past seven years against Stefanie Lee Linder-Edwards was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to NRS 174.085. 



Sept. 11

In a basic speeding case against Charles Lee Stokey, the fine was lowered to $95 with the administrative assessment fee to remain at $95 with no plea negotiations on the case. 



In a case regarding misdemeanor charges of injury to or destruction of property and violation of a temporary or extended restraining order against Alejandro Huerta, a guilty plea was withdrawn pursuant to plea negotiations and restitution being paid in full. The case was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations. 



Liang Xu pleaded guilty to basic speed 21-30 over limit and was ordered to pay the fine listed on the citation. A charge of child restraints required was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.
