The Good Times Drag Strip saw action last weekend as the September Memorial races were held at the eighth-mile track on Jungo Road. Friday and Saturday racing brought in over 30 cars and numerous spectators. Larry Strange from Fallon was working in the pits on driver Larry Lester’s ‘55’ Chevy. “We have been coming up here for a number of years and always enjoy the folks that are here,” Strange commented. “The track here is wonderful, down in Fallon we run the quarter-mile. We actually enjoy the eighth-mile, that is where everything seems to happen.” Strange concluded, “Spectator-wise, you sit up in the stands, you get a good view of the starting line and you are right there at the finish line.”
