August 27

Sasha Jeanine Crocker pleaded guilty to driving under the influence first offense. She was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition she serve two days, with two days credit for time served. She was ordered to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee + $250 public defender reimbursement fee.

She was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school. She was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician and no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. A separate charge of disobedience to devices for control of traffic, amended from a charge of fail to drive within marked lanes was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office, pursuant to plea negotiations.

August 30

Torri Lynn Hinkey pleaded guilty to a charge of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, amended from felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a controlled substance.

She was sentenced to 120 days in the detention center with 23 days credit for time served.

In a separate case, she pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor resisting a public officer. She was sentenced to 15 days in the Humboldt County Jail for each count, totalling 30 days to run concurrent to the other criminal complaint.



Ramon Rivera pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor amended charge of battery. Rivera was sentenced to 15 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for 3 days time served, and the remaining 12 days to run concurrent with the case that he is currently serving time on.



Stephen Dale Krediet pleaded no contest to amended misdemeanor charges of count 1 – drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, count 2 – possession of drug paraphernalia and count 3 – fictitious or revoked registration. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail. A separate felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Krediet was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.

August 30

Manuel Rojas-Carbajal pleaded guilty to amended misdemeanor charges of drugs which may not be introduced to interstate commerce and driving while license is suspended, cancelled or revoked. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for four days time served for the charge of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce. For driving while license is suspended, revoked or cancelled he was sentenced to 30 days in jail to run consecutive to the first charge. In a separate case, Rojas-Carbajal pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1000 + $140 + $200 late fee/warrant fee. He was given credit for 13 days time served. A separate felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Rojas-Carbajal was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.

Antonio Ramon Padilla pleaded guilty to amended misdemeanor charges of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 60 days in the Humboldt County Jail for the charge of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, with credit for 21 days time served. For possession of drug paraphernalia he was also sentenced to 60 days in jail, to run consecutive with count 1, totaling 120 days. Pursuant to plea negotiations, a felony possession of a controlled substance charge against Padilla was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Breydon Cash Sherman pleaded no contest to amended misdemeanor charges of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce and possession of drug paraphernalia. For the first count of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, he was sentenced to 120 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for 6 days time served. On the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, he was given 5 days in jail to run concurrent with the first sentence. Pursuant to plea negotiations, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Sherman were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

August 31

Seth Adam Scott pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of hit and run to an unattended motor vehicle. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA. The court suspended $500 on the condition that he have no like violations. The defendant requested to make payments and have the option to do community service. The defendant was given the option to pay $100 per month and/or complete 10 hours of community service. A separate charge of failure to immediately report an accident was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office, pursuant to plea negotiations.

Maria Andrade pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failure to yield to traffic. She was ordered to pay a fine of $5 + $55 administrative assessment.
