Battle Mountain High School and Pershing County High School were among the teams that came to spike it up against their league and non-league counterparts last weekend in Battle Mountain at the Longhorn Invitational.
BMHS senior Isabella DeAllah is starting her third year on the varsity team.
“I think there is no better feeling than getting a block or a kill,” she commented. “This is our second tournament this year; we won our first tournament in White Pine. I think we are going to have a way better season than we did last year. Last year we only won two games.”
BMHS takes on West Wendover at home on Friday 7 at 4 p.m. in their first conference match of the season.
They will square off with White Pine on Saturday at 11 a.m.
