"Spring Creek and Elko have huge teams," said LHS coach Kathy Norcutt. "So coach Malkie in Spring Creek developed this race for the JV kids and varsity runners that are ranked 4, 5, and 6 on their teams to give them an opportunity to earn a medal, even though they can’t go to regional.”

Kinsey Albisu took third place in the girls 5,000 meter race with a time of 23 minutes, 50 seconds and Alethea Houston (24:41) was close behind for fourth place.
