Sept. 25

Torri Lynn Hinkey pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of theft. She was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $4.80. She was ordered to pay a fine of $500 + $140 AA, with the fines suspended on the condition the defendant pay restitution in the amount of $4.80 and have no further violations of the law.



Sept. 26

Ricky Lee Marley pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of resisting a public officer, duty to stop at the scene of an accident, duty upon damaging unattended vehicle or other property and immediate notice to police officer of accident involving unattended vehicle or other property.

He was ordered to pay the following: resisting: $1,000 fine + $140 AA; duty to stop at scene: $1,000 fine + $140 AA; duty upon damaging property or vehicle: $1,000 fine + $140 AA;immediate notice to public officer: $500 fine + $140 AA, with fines suspended for counts three and four.



Sept 27

A felony charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle against Paulette Mary Skinner was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.



Shaley Nicole Gonzalez pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, from original felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

She was ordered to 120 days jail with credit for 20 days time served.



A felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Alexis Moises Acevedo was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office for a one-time dismissal.



Brandon Dean Downen pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of theft, amended from an original felony charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The parties agreed to a stipulated sentence of 16 days in the Humboldt County jail with credit for time served.



Sept. 28

A misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer against Stephanie Lee Linder-Edwards was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.



Courtney Lynn Kieser pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years, stayed jail time on the condition she serve two days with the alternative option of completing four days house arrest.

She was ordered to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. She was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school.

She was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician and no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. A separate charge of fail to maintain lane was dismissed pursuant to plea negotiations.



Eric Jose Venzor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of basic speed, 11-20 over speed limit. He was ordered to pay a fine of $190 + $95 AA.



Oct. 1

Luke Loren Rudolph pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer. He was ordered to pay $100 fine + $140 AA, with $1,000 suspended for six months on the condition that he continue with his treatment program and have no further like violations.



Oct. 4

Armando Acevedo Jr. pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, second offense.

He was ordered to pay a fine of $500, $120 administrative assessment fee and $35 special assessment fee. He was given credit for 10 days time served.

He was ordered to 30 days jail with 20 days stayed for a period of two years. He was ordered to complete 52 sessions of batterers intervention counseling, with monthly reports to the court and 100 hours of community service.

He was ordered to no alcohol and no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. He is to have no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. He was ordered to surrender firearms and admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337, possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony.



Timothy Richard Privett pleaded guilty to resisting a public officer and domestic battery with one prior conviction within the past seven years. He was ordered to pay a fine of $500, $120 administrative assessment fee and $35 special assessment fee. He was ordered to 90 days jail with 80 days stayed for a period of two years.

He is to serve 10 days, with credit for time served of four days. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and 52 sessions of batterers intervention counseling, with monthly reports to the court.

He was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. He was ordered to surrender firearms and admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337, possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony.

Bobby Eric Garza pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of petite larceny, amended from a felony grand larceny charge. He was ordered to 30 days in jail with credit for eight days time served. The remaining 22 days was suspended on the condition that he have no like violations.

A misdemeanor charge of violation of temporary/extended restraining order against Jessie Michael Wilson was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Jessie Michael Wilson pleaded guilty to battery, amended from an original charge of domestic battery. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served of 10 days. He was given credit for two days time served for a late fee and warrant fee.

Oct. 5

Audra Marie Custis pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of false reporting of crimes. She was ordered to to pay a fine of $1000 and $140 administrative assessment fee. She was given credit for time served of six days, amounting to $600. She was given the alternative to complete 10 hours of community service per month if she is unable to make monthly payments.

Oct. 9

Kevin Andrew Lockett pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license and unregistered vehicle. He was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for time served of six days.

A misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor against Kevin Andrew Lockett was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

A misdemeanor charge of using a cell phone while driving against Paul Raymond Schlehr was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Kevin Andrew Locket pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while drivers license canceled, suspended or revoked, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and tail lamps required. He was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for time served of seven days.

Kevin Andrew Locket pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for time served of four days.

Oct 10

Ronald Bruce Maskovich pleaded guilty to amended charges of speed and open container. He was sentenced to 60 days jail with 50 days stayed for a period of two years, stayed jail time on the condition he serves 10 days. He was given credit for two days time served, leaving a balance of eight days. The defendant was given the option to complete 16 days of house arrest as an alternative to jail time. He was ordered to pay a fine of $750, $140 administrative assessment, $60 forensic fee and $100 special DUI fee. He was given credit for completing a victim impact panel and DUI school prior to the hearing. He was ordered to have a breath interlock device for a period of 12 months and is to continue attending counseling sessions for at least six months. He was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician and no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.

Oct. 11

A misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia against Aseah James Wolsey was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to plea negotiations.

A felony charge of driving under the influence with a prior felony conviction against Ronald Bruce Maskovich was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
