The Lowry High School football team got roughed up by Elko on Friday night 42-13.
The Bucks were held scoreless in the first half as the Indians took a 21-0 lead into halftime.
Elko doubled their score by the end, while Lowry could only muster 13 points.
The loss dropped the Bucks to 4-4 in conference play on the season, while Elko moved to 6-2. Undefeated Churchill County (Fallon) (8-0) leads Truckee (7-1) going into the last week of the regular season. Fernley (5-3) and Spring Creek (5-3) round out the remaining 3A Northern playoff spots.
Lowry is currently the lowest seed, but due to tie-breakers they are guaranteed a shot in the playoffs.
The Buckaroos travel to Churchill County on Friday Oct. 19 for a 7 p.m. match-up against the league leaders.
The playoffs begin Thursday Oct. 25, with the top two finishers receiving a first-round bye.
