The Winnemucca Junior High School seventh-grade girls basketball team dominated in their final two games of the season at home.

McDermitt suffered a 45-3 loss to WJHS.

Savannah Stoker had 11 points, Bryce Brinkerhoff scored 10, Autumn and Jackie Sanchez both contributed eight points.

"They came out excited and wanted to finish off the season strong, which they did," said WJHS coach Clay Sagers. "Both games were great team efforts and they trusted each other on both ends of the floor.”

Commenting on the final game he noted, “We beat Lovelock 39-13 to finish the season off well and stay undefeated.”

Stoker poured in 15 points in the contest, Brinkerhoff had eight.

“It was a good ending to a great season and they were a great group of girls to coach,” Sagers said. "They represented their families and Winnemucca very well all season long and everywhere that we went.”
