The Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team came away from its road trip with a split of two matches.
The Longhorns dropped a 3-0 match to White Pine on Friday afternoon. The Bobcats scored a pair of goals in the first 40 minutes of the match and did not look back.
Battle Mountain beats West Wendover
Battle Mountain earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory on Saturday at West Wendover. The Longhorns led 2-1 at halftime and both squads scored two goals apiece in the second half but Battle Mountain was able to hold on for the win.
Battle Mountain returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m.
