The Battle Mountain High School volleyball team made quick work of its road trip to Reno this past Saturday, with a three-set sweep of Coral Academy.
The Lady Longhorns were not challenged in any of the sets, winning 25-3, 25-11 and 25-5 to move to 8-9 overall and 4-6 in the Northern 2A.
Battle Mountain had 20 kills in the contest, with Isabella DeAllah (five) and Uliana Willingham (four) leading the way. Brooke Ripley and Drue Domagala each had three kills and Kira Smith and Isabel Diaz had two kills apiece.
The Lady Longhorns had a strong day serving as well with 16 aces. Addi Slaybaugh had six of the aces, while Kynndra Penson and DeAllah had three aces apiece.
Julia Ramirez and Alma Chavira had four and three digs, respectively, and Domagala had a team-high 19 assists.
Battle Mountain stepped out of league play against Eureka and results were not available at press time.
The Lady Longhorns are back on the road this weekend to face West Wendover on Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at White Pine at noon.
Battle Mountain returns to its home court on Friday, Oct. 12, against Silver Stage and Saturday, Oct. 13, versus Yerington.
