Nicolas Castillo Jr. 76 

He was born, March 21, 1942 in Carlin, Nevada. Passed away October 29, 2018 in Reno, Nevada.

He grew up and lived all his life in Lovelock, Nevada.  A native Nevadan, in which his ancestry dates back to his great grandfather George Robinson (White Cloud) (1799-1909), his grandfather Inian Ike Winap (1874-1915) who had founded the richest gold specimen in 1905. 

His great great Aunt "Winnaschieka: (1856-1891)

 He attended Pershing Co. High School and graduated in 1960, there he met the love of his life, Nancy Alice Shields (1943-2011).

The couple wed on December 27, 1962. They bought the family home in 1963, where they lived all their lives and raised 4 children. Geraldine (1963-2009) & Tim Grady, Dennis Castillo, Nickie Castillo, & Dan (Fran) Castillo.  Nicolas was the youngest of 6 children, Margaret Bonataux (1927-2016), Trinidad Castillo (1929-1931), Kenneth (1934-2007) (Clara) Castillo, Teresa (Gene) Brinkerhoff, & Antonia (1938-2013) (Fred) Welch. 

He worked over 45 years at Eagle Pitcher. He loved to fish and hunt, loved all sports as well, you could always find him cheering on the Minnesota Vikings during football season. 

He had many Nieces & Nephews. He had 7 grandchildren, Brandon Grady (Bend, OR), Michia Grady (Big Bear Lake, CA) Sarah Castillo (Reno, NV) Anthony Castillo (Reno, NV), Jessica (Thomas) Riddle (Imaly,Nv) Grace Castillo (Las Vegas, NV) & Nolan Castillo (Las Vegas, NV) He had 6 great grandchildren, Dakota Grady, Jayden St.Clair, Jonathan White, Aiden Bradley, Abigail Riddle, & Gabriel Riddle. 

Nick will be sadly missed, his effervescent laugh, his charismatic smile and laugh, his sense of humor and his love for life. And for most it would be his salsa he loved to make. May you rest in peace. Love yah. 

A celebration of life service will be held November 17, 2018, at the Lovelock Community Center, from 10 a.m. to noon. A private burial will be held for the family shortly after.  

Dad did not want a service, but the celebration of life is to honor him and to share everyone’s love for him.
