The Nevada State High School Finals Rodeo rolled into Winnemucca this past weekend with cowboys and cowgirls representing all parts of the state, looking to advance to the Silver State International Rodeo and the National High School Finals Rodeo. The final performance of the rodeo took place Tuesday morning, which included the top 15 in each event. Final results were not available at press time. The top four finishers in each event in the final point standings qualify for the national finals in Rock Springs , Wyo., from July 15-21. The Silver State International Rodeo takes place in Winnemucca from July 2-7, which takes the fifth through 15th-place finishers.
