In loving memory of our beautiful daughter Sonja Elena Henderson, 34. Sonja passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident on May 3, 2018, in Winnemucca, Nevada.
Sonja was born November 20, 1983 in Reno, Nevada to Elena Loya and Darrell Henderson of Winnemucca. Sonja attended Albert Lowry High School where she made many friends with her sweet personality and kind soul. She enjoyed music, art and all things Native American. She loved spending time with family, camping and exploring the outdoors. She was a loving, caring person and devoted mother and friend. Sonja was always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”
Sonja leaves behind her two young children, Raquel and Jayden, she is also survived by both parents, Elena and Darrell, three brothers, Cruise Loya, Levi Loya and Josh Henderson, her Grandmother, Vivian Leyva, Aunt Connie Walters, Aunt Carolyn Henderson, Uncle Bill Henderson and a host of Great Aunts and Cousins. She joins her Grandparents, Kenneth Walters, Jo Ann and Wayne Henderson in Heaven.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Sonja touched are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Water Canyon Campground on May 26th at 2PM. The Family would like to thank all those who have supported us during our loss.
