Craig Edward Searles pleaded guilty to Disorderly Conduct

Sentence: Fined $355.00. Defendant was given credit for one day time served, 14 days are suspended for 12 months under the condition that there be no violation of laws other than minor traffic offense.

MaryJane Michelle Happy pleaded guilty to Minor in Consumption of Alcohol

Sentence: Fined $355.00. Defendant is to serve one day in jail with one day time served.

 

Nathan Allen Larson came to the 11th Judicial Court to face charges of assault with the use of a deadly weapon and burglary.

The judge continued his arraignment until April 16, 2018. Kyle B Swanson represents the defendant.



On Monday, Marco Antonio Ortega, 43, pleaded guilty to the unlawful use of a controlled substance, cocaine. Kyle B Swanson represents the defendant.

The felony could put Ortega behind bars for one to four years. He could also face fines of up to $5,000. 

But, the defendant may qualify for mandatory probation. He plans to apply for the diversion program. The court set sentencing for June 4, 2018.



Homero Torres came to the 11th Judicial for arraignment on charges of grand larceny. The court provided an interpreter.

On Feb. 22, 2018, Justice of the Peace Karen Stephens held a preliminary hearing. She found enough evidence to bind the case over to the district court.

Torres stands accused of helping someone steal a necklace from the Lovelock Trading Post on Nov. 29, 2017. He pleaded not guilty.

The crime could land Torres in prison for one to ten years. He could accrue a fine of up to $10,000 and restitution. But if he’s eligible he may serve probation.

DDA Bullock and Steve Cochran agreed that the jury trial would take about two days. The court set the trial for May 2 – 4, 2018.

The court continued Corrie Marie Baker’s arraignment until April 16, 2018. Kyle B Swanson defends Baker. She’s charged with possessing a controlled substance.
