Richard “Dick” Gray passed away on March 9th, 2018 at Renown Hospital in Reno.
Dick was born March 28, 1952 to William and Fern Gray in Yuma, Colorado. Dick grew up in Oregon and Fallon, NV working on dairies.
Dick moved to Battle Mountain, NV and started at Battle Mountain Gold as a mechanic. He continued his mining career at Newmont’s Lone Tree, Mule Canyon and Phoenix.
Dick met and married Tamera Dixon soon after moving to Battle Mountain. His son Richard and daughter Tabatha moved in with them and were raised in Battle Mountain.
Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and cruising in the mountains. He also spent a lot of time tinkering in his shop. Dick was also the go to guy if you were stuck in the back country or broke down on the freeway, he would get you and your rig home. If you needed help moving, repairing your rig or building anything, he was there. He will be missed.
Dick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tamera, son Richard, daughters Tabatha, Sally and Debby; several grand and great grandchildren.
No services at this time are scheduled. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
