Want to learn more about illegal drug use in schools? The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Parental Drug Education Program at Grass Valley Elementary School for parents on Wednesday, March 21 from 6 p.m. — 8 p.m. The program is open to anyone who wishes to attend. HCSO officials say this will be the first of several programs of its type.
The informational event is intended to educate parents on what drugs are being seen in the community, and the options available for drug intervention. Several different agencies are taking part in the program, including HCSO, narcotics investigation, and juvenile services. The Sun will have more on this event in a future edition.
