Misdemeanor charges of dangerous or vicious dogs and dog at large against Tramaine Ruth Northrup were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
Ralph Fredrick Virgil pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of failure to stop or yield when entering a marked intersection and unlawful use of a handheld wireless device, 1st offense.
He was ordered to pay a fine of $100 + $95 AA for failure to stop or yield when entering a marked intersection in addition to a $100 warrant fee and $100 late fee. He was ordered to pay a fine of $50 + $66 + $100 late fee for unlawful use of handheld or wireless device.
He was given credit for five days jail time served at the time of sentencing and an additional one day while in custody on a different criminal charge at a later hearing.
Juan Manuel Estrada pleaded guilty to driving while license cancelled/suspended/revoked (DUI) and was ordered to 60 days house arrest to be completed within the next 90 days. Fined $500 + $140 AA for a total of $640. The defendant requested to have his fines and fees rolled up together. The court granted the request.
June 18
Drew Rene Rainville pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of two years; stayed jail time on the condition that he serve two days.
Defendant was given credit for 12 hours time served. He is to serve the remaining 36 hours within 30 days. He is to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee, totaling $685.
DUI School to be completed by Sept. 24, 2018. Victim Impact Panel to be completed by Sept. 22, 2018. The court imposed a $250 Public Defender Reimbursement Fee.
Defendant was also ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. A review hearing is set for Sept. 24 at 1:15 p.m. Pursuant to negotiations the court granted the motion that counts two and three be dismissed in open court. The bail bond was exonerated.
June 26
Alvin Earl Dick pleaded no contest to unlawful trespass upon land and was sentenced to seven days jail with seven days time served.
In the case of Kaci Rae Kraft, charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a hearing was held and Deputy DA Max Stovall made a motion to dismiss the charges pursuant to a plea negotiation. The court granted the DA’s motion to dismiss.
In the case of Rafael Chavez, charged with operation of a motor vehicle with expired registration; driving while canceled/suspended/revoked; convicted person registration with local law enforcement within 48 hours: a hearing was held and Deputy DA Max Stovall made a motion to dismiss the charges pursuant to a plea negotiation. The court granted the DA’s motion to dismiss. The defendant was given credit for time served for his late fees and warrant fees. The bail bond was exonerated.
