A misdemeanor charge of dog at large against Jerry B. Hansen was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to a deferred prosecution agreement.

A misdemeanor charge of failure to immediately report a traffic accident against Charles Odell Evans was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Christian Olivera Acevedo pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of injuring or tampering with vehicle. He was fined $250 + $105 AA.

June 11

A misdemeanor charge of basic speed against Patrick Gotto was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Casey Allen Lunsford pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. Another charge of basic speed 1-10 over was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office. The defendant forfeited his cash bail in the amount of $555.

June 12

A misdemeanor charge of battery against Charles Thomas Woodford was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to the deferred prosecution agreement.

A misdemeanor charge of stopped emergency vehicle with flashing lights/duty of driver against Steven Leroy Dalum was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to a deferred prosecution agreement.

Lenny Dean Jakich pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery first offense. He was fined $200 + $105 AA + $35 special assessment fee. He was ordered to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of 2 years, he is to serve 2 days and given credit for 12 hours time served.

He was ordered to complete 48 hours of community service within 60 days and complete 26 sessions of batterers intervention counseling. He was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. An order to surrender firearms was read and signed.

June 13

Adrianna Marie Norman pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of battery and injuring or tampering with a motor vehicle. She pleaded no contest to a charge of unlawful trespass upon land. She was ordered to pay a fine of $1000 + $140 AA for the charge of battery, a fine of $500 + $140 AA for injuring or tampering with a motor vehicle, and a fine of $100 + $95 AA for unlawful trespass upon land.

She was given credit for time served of 14 days, leaving a balance of $575 total. The court suspended the remaining balance for six months on the condition that she has no like violations.

Cameron Carrica pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence with one prior conviction within the last seven years. He was sentenced to 60 days jail with 50 days stayed for a period of 2 years, stayed jail time on the condition he serve 10 days, he was given credit for 5 days time served.

He was ordered to pay a fine of $750 + $140 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. He was ordered to complete DUI school and a victim impact panel. He was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician and no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Other charges of driving in excess of posted speed zone 11-20 over limit and restrictions on tinting of windshield or side or rear window were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office as part of the plea agreement.

June 14

Cullen James Hume pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer. He was sentenced to 120 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for 11 days served.

In a separate case, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Cullen James Hume was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Jennifer Beristain pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was sentenced to 90 days in the Humboldt County Jail with credit for 24 days served.

In a separate case, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Jennifer Beristain was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
