Larry Tregellas, 72, of Winnemucca passed from this life on June 20, 2018 at Humboldt General Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends, losing his battle with cancer.
Larry was born on April 5, 1946 to Myrtle and Clarence Tregellas in Dodge City, Kansas. He married Jennie Tregellas and they made their home in Winnemucca, NV.
After graduation from High School he joined the Nevada National Guard. Larry worked for the Humboldt County School District as a Bus Shop Foreman for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Winnemucca. He was a member of the Northern Nevada Racing Association and the Civil Air Patrol. His passions were old car restoration, drag racing and riding motor cycles.
Larry is survived by his wife Jennie Tregellas; his brothers Jame (Connie) Tregellas and Jay (Stacy Kendall) Tregellas; his sisters Myrna (Robert) Slater, Linda Moren and Patrica Tregellas; family Linda Tregellas, Rita Dufurrena and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Ambika, RENOWN Hospital, Dr. Stringham, Humboldt General Hospital, Dr. Conlu and all of the family and friends for their support during this time. A special thanks to Butch Ranson.
A graveside service will be held for Larry on Thursday June 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Winnemucca Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Larry’s Life and reception at the Winnemucca Convention Center.
